The first thing that I have been loving in the month of March (and actually for quite sometime before it), is Benefit's They're Real Mascara! I purchased mine at Sephora in the beginning of January (on the first actually) and have been loving it ever since. It's actually gone a bit dry now, but I'm trying to keep it going as long as I can until I can get a new one.
My ideal perfect lashes would be long and voluminous (as any mascara wearer's probably would be). But the most important thing to me is that they look as voluminous as possible while still looking natural and that's exactly what this mascara does for my lashes. It definitely lives up to its name!
My next favorite is Lush's Ultrabland Cleanser. I purchased a 1.5 oz pot of this along with my mascara and because of how little of an amount you need to use to clean all of your face, it could easily last me another nine months. It is an oil based cleanser and I use it by massaging a very small amount into my face for about a minute, then gently exfoliating before rinsing everything away. I use it to remove my makeup and clean my face, 2-3 times a week.
This leaves my skin feeling so soft, like no other product I have ever used. I have oily/combination, acne prone skin, but I have noticed (as have others around me) a dramatic drop in acne and oiliness since I've started using Ultrabland. I would highly, highly recommend this to everyone, as it says it is for all skin types not just oily like mine. I have benefitted so much from this product and definitely will be using it for a very long time.
I have also been absolutely loving Lush's Imperialis Facial Moisturizer. I have been using this for almost a year now and still love it. Again, this is a product where a very little goes a long way, a pea sized amount covers my entire face. As I stated before I have oily/combination skin. For the majority of the year my skin is quite oily, but when the weather gets cold, I get dry patches on my face.
When I first purchased this, the worker told me that it would help balance out my skin, it would tone down the oiliness while hydrating the dry parts and that I could use it all year round, even when my skin doesn't usually get dry. I have found no falsities in what she told me. It is a thicker moisturizer but never feels like its clogging my pores. I love it and would recommend it to anyone, especially those with combination skin.
A newer favorite of mine is the Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner. My hair is generally dry but gets quite oily at the roots and although this says its for dry hair, I still use it on my roots about every other hair wash and I find that my hair doesn't get anymore oily than normal.
Since I've started using this, my hair has looked and felt healthier. Last week for the first time ever, my friend actually told me that my hair was shiny and asked what I used in it! I say for the first time ever because, well it was the first time ever, and my hair is quite dry and frizzy for the majority of the time (although it could definitely be worse). But I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner again!
I talked about starting to read the Harry Potter books back in January here, and since then I have finished! I absolutely loved them! It was such a good series and I truly regret waiting so long to read the books. If you are someone who hasn't read them, I suggest you do it.
J.K. Rowling is such an amazing author and I wish that I had the writing skills that she has. What I love about Harry Potter is, not only the wonderful skill of writing that the author holds but the fact that it takes magic and the sci-fi feel to a level that everyone can love. It deals with loss and pain but there is also love and discovery. It's so realistic while being so fictitious and if that isn't great, I don't know what is.
I have known about Sleeping At Last for a couple of years now but have just recently grown to really love them. The covers they make are beautiful. They can take any song and turn it into a slow calming ballad. Their original songs are equally as beautiful.
They are definitely not the artists to play if you want to turn up. But if you want something relaxing to listen to in the background of your thoughts, they are the way to go.
My last favorite is...
Yes. The big yellow flowers with the thick stem. Again, I have always known about and liked sunflowers but recently I have become obsessed with them! I just want them all over my house!
I have been trying to pay more attention to the things I have been loving throughout the month so I could tell you what they were and I think I have done fairly well. I am hoping it will get easier to remember with time!
What did you think!? My first attempt at a favorites. I hope you like it! So, have you ever tried any of these products? Let me know if you love any of these things as much as I do! Let me know if you hate any of them! What's your March favorites?
Lots of Love,
